Project Title: "The Perfect Spokesperson": AI-Generated UGC for Letterfest Client: Letterfest (Personalised Mother's Day Gifts)
The Brief: To create high-converting User-Generated Content (UGC) for a Mother's Day campaign without the logistical friction of hiring creators, shipping products, and managing usage rights. The goal was to produce a video that felt authentic and "organic" to the social feed, yet delivered a perfectly controlled marketing message about the ease and quality of ordering a personalised portrait.
The Approach: I utilised AI video generation tools to create "Jack" a simulated customer persona. Instead of relying on a real influencer who might miss key talking points, I scripted a "perfect review" that hits every conversion trigger: the stress of gift-buying, the simplicity of the Letterfest website, the speed of the digital proof, and the emotional payoff of the final framed product. This approach allowed for total control over the narrative while maintaining the casual, "selfie-style" aesthetic that performs best on Meta and TikTok.
Key Challenges & Solutions:
Engineering Authenticity: The biggest hurdle with AI avatars is avoiding the "uncanny valley." To counter this, I scripted the narration to sound natural and conversational rather than salesy. I combined the AI "talking head" footage with dynamic cutaways of the actual ordering process and high-quality product shots, anchoring the digital avatar in the real world.
Controlled Social Proof: Real testimonials are unpredictable. By generating the content, I ensured the "review" addressed specific customer pain points (e.g., "Is it hard to order?", "Will it look like them?") directly. I used the AI technology to deliver a concise, benefit-heavy script that a real user might struggle to deliver clearly in under 30 seconds.
Outcome: A scalable, cost-effective UGC asset that delivers a precise brand message with the relatable feel of a customer recommendation. This project demonstrated how AI can be used to manufacture "social proof" on demand, eliminating production delays and ensuring the product benefits are articulated perfectly every time.
