Project Title: "My First Christmas": A Dual-Ad Campaign for Letterfest Client: Letterfest (Personalised First Christmas Book)

The Brief: To create two distinct promotional ads for Letterfest's personalised "First Christmas" book. The goal was to appeal to different audience segments through contrasting visual styles: one high-fidelity, design-led ad and one authentic, user-generated content (UGC) style ad.

The Approach:

Ad 1 (Design & AI): This ad focused on the magical journey of Santa delivering the personalised book. It started with a high-fidelity animation of Santa’s sleigh in space, transitioning to a cozy, AI-enhanced scene of a sleeping baby, and finally revealing the book with various personalised names. The visual style was polished and fantastical.

Ad 2 (UGC Style): This ad captured an authentic, heartwarming moment of a real family (models) discovering the book. Filmed on location with natural lighting and genuine reactions, it emphasised the emotional connection and the joy of a new family tradition.

Key Challenges & Solutions:

Creating Contrast: The main challenge was ensuring the two ads felt completely different while promoting the same product. I achieved this through distinct production methods: Ad 1 used design software and AI video tools for a fantastical look, while Ad 2 was filmed live for a raw, authentic feel.

Unified Narration: Despite the contrasting visuals, both ads needed a consistent brand voice. I used ElevenLabs to generate a warm, emotive narration for both, tying the different visual narratives together with a cohesive message of magic and tradition.

Outcome: A versatile ad campaign that effectively showcased the personalised book through two unique lenses. The design-led ad appealed to those seeking magic and wonder, while the UGC-style ad resonated with audiences looking for authentic, emotional connections, both successfully highlighting the unique personalisation options.
